Description of Anaprox DS

Anaprox DS is used to treat arthritis. The generic name of the medicine is Naproxen.

Anaprox DS is used to treat osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and juvenile arthritis. It reduces the hormones that cause pain in the body. Anaprox DS tablets are round yellow tablets available in 250 mg strength. The tablets are packed in 100 in light resistant bottles.

The recommended dose of Anaprox DS starts from 550 mg in every 12 hours of 275 mg in every 6-8 hours. The total daily dose should not exceed 1375 mg per day. Once you start seeing the results, your doctor will reduce the dosage. You must take Anaprox DS on time. If you forget a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is the time for the next dose, avoid the skipped dose. Don’t take a double dose; in case of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

Anaprox DS may result in serious and life-threatening heart problems. You must not use this drug if you had a bypass surgery. Don’t take any over-the-counter medications for cold and allergy during the course of Anaprox DS treatment as the content of aspirin in those medicines may cause serious side effects. You must store Anaprox DS at room temperature between 15 to 30 degrees Celsius away from moisture and heat. Make sure that the drug is kept away from the reach of children.
