Description of Rescriptor

Rescriptor belongs to the category of drugs termed as non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors or NNRTIs. The active ingredient in the medicine is Delavirdine. It is given to the patient in the form of oral tablets.

Indications & Dosage of Rescriptor

Rescriptor is an oral medication used for controlling HIV. Usually, it is given to the patient in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. Rescriptor works by decreasing HIV viral cell count in your body so that your immunity can be boosted. It also reduces your risks of developing complications related to HIV, such as cancer and new infections. Before you buy Rescriptor, you must remember that this drug does not cure HIV, neither does it prevent the spread of the virus to others through blood contamination or sexual contact.

You will be recommended to take two Rescriptor 200mg tablets or four Rescriptor 100mg tablets three times a day. If you have trouble swallowing the tablets, you can dissolve the Rescriptor 100mg tablets in water. In order to do that, add four 100mg tablets in 3 ounces of water. Let it stand for 5 minutes and stir until dispersion occurs uniformly. Consume the solution immediately. Rescriptor 200mg tablets, on the other hand, cannot be dissolved in water. You will have to swallow them whole.

You can take Rescriptor tablets with or without meals. Patients with achlorhydria are advised to take the tablet with acidic beverages, such as orange or cranberry juice.

Women are advised not to breastfeed their child if they have HIV or AIDS. Even if the baby is born without HIV, the virus may pass on to him or her through the mother’s breast milk. Pregnant women can also pass the virus to their unborn child if they are not treated properly during pregnancy. Therefore, inform your doctor beforehand if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
