Description of Vimovo

Vimovo is a prescription drug consisting of esomeprazole and naproxen. Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or an NSAID. The key function of esomeprazole is to track down and fight substances that cause inflammation in the body. Esomeprazole is categorized in the class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors. It helps in keeping a check on the production of acid in the stomach. The generic name of Vimovo is esomeprazole and naproxen.

Patients can buy Vimovo from drugstores in the form of a pill in two different strengths: Vimovo 20mg/500mg and Vimovo 20mg/375mg.
