Description of Zyflo CR

The prescription drug Zyflo CR is categorized under the class of drugs called leukotriene synthesis inhibitors. Leukotrienes are naturally occurring chemicals in the body that play a key role in cases of swelling and inflammation that might occur in the lung airways. Leukotriene production also leads to constriction of muscles in the airways. The key function of the drug Zyflo CR is the prevention of leukotriene production.
