Description of Bumex

The generic name of Bumex is Bumetanide. It is a water pill belonging to the class of “loop” diuretics. This particular drug controls the body’s absorption of salts and stops too much salt from getting accumulated. Any extra salt is instead released from the body through urine. Bumex can therefore be effective in treating a condition known as edema, also known as fluid retention, especially in patients suffering from kidney disorders, liver disease and congestive heart failure. You can buy Bumex online in the tablet forms of strengths 0.5 mg, 1mg, and 2mg. Your doctor may prescribe Bumex for other medical purposes as well.

Indications & Dosage of Bumex

Bumex treats mild to moderate hypertension. It is also prescribed for renal disease, congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, and edema (excessive fluid accumulation). By preventing the retention of fluid in the kidneys, it significantly increases the urine output.

The initial recommended dose is 0.5 mg to 2 mg daily. If positive results are not experienced, it can be increased to a maximum of 10 mg daily.

In endema patients, an intermittent schedule is recommended, in which Bumex is administered on alternate days.

If oral administration is difficult or impossible, Bumex injection may be given in a parenteral fashion (IV or IM).However, parenteral administration should be discontinued as soon as possible.

Side Effects & Interactions of Bentyl

If you buy Bumex and use it, you may experience some adverse effects such as:

  • Dizziness
  • Headache, nausea

The above conditions may prove fatal if ignored. Therefore, seek immediate medical help if you experience any of these.
