Description of Loniten
Loniten is used to treat high blood pressure. The generic name of the drug is Minoxidil. It is a type of medication known as a vasodilator. The drug also prevents heart attacks, strokes and kidney problems.
You must buy Loniten only as per the prescription of your doctor. Read the patient information leaflet carefully before using the drug. Indications & Dosage of Loniten

The dosage of Loniten depends on the medical condition of the patient and the response to treatment. Follow the instructions of the doctor. Don’t take the drug in excess of for a longer time than prescribed. The recommended dose of the drug is 5 mg per day in adults and children over the age of 12 years. The dosage can slowly be increased to 10mg, 20mg and then 40 mg later during treatment. The total dosage should not exceed 100 mg per day. You may start with small dosages, and your doctor will gradually increase the dosage. You may feel better after taking the tablets for a few days. Complete the full course of treatment to get the best results. Don’t start, stop or change the dosage without consulting the doctor. Don’t share your pills with others. Take Loniten on time. If you miss a dose of the drug, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, avoid the missed dose. Don’t take an overdose of Loniten. In case of overdose, seek emergency medical help.
You must store Loniten at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the tablets away from direct light, heat and moisture. Keep it away from the reach of children.

- Dizziness and drowsiness
- Low blood pressure
Serious side effects of Loniten are:
- Difficulty breathing
- Abdominal pain and swelling
- Easy bruising and bleeding
- Dry cough
- Fast and irregular heartbeat
- Signs of severe infections such as fever and sore throat
- Swelling of the hands, feet and ankles
- Severe heartburn and confusion
- Severe allergic reactions such as rashes and itching
- Problems with hearing and vision
- Slurred speech
- Weakness on one side of the body
You must contact your doctor immediately if these serious side effects persist.

- Anti-inflammatory drugs
- Nonprescription drugs for fever and cold
- Aspirin and other NSAIDS
