Description of Minocin

Minocin falls under a category of drugs known as tetracycline antibiotics. This drug is mainly used to prevent and treat various bacterial infections. The generic name of this drug is Minocycline. You can buy Minocin online in form of an oral suspension (Minocin 10 mg/ml), oral capsules (Minocin 50 mg or Minocin 100 mg), or intravenous injections (Minocin 100 mg/vial).

Indications & Dosage of Minocin

Minocin is indicated for the treatment and prevention of certain bacterial infections such as:

  • Gonorrhea
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Pneumonia
  • Anthrax

The dosage of Minocin is individualized and depends on the following factors:

Less serious side effects associated with this tetracycline antibiotic may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Muscle pain
  • Spinning sensation, dizziness, tiredness
  • Mild stomach upset, nausea, or diarrhea
  • Vaginal itching

  • NSAIDs such as meloxicam, indomethacin, ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, or celecoxib

  • Antifungal drugs such as voriconazole, ketoconazole, itraconazole, and others
  • Cholesterol-lowering drugs such as lovastatin, niacin, simvastatin, and others
