Description of Beconase Aq

Beconase Aq is used to treat nasal allergic symptoms. It is also used to treat congestions such as sneezing and a runny nose. Beconase Aq also prevents recurrent nasal polyps after surgical removal and treats seasonal and yearly allergic symptoms. The generic name of the drug is Beclomethasone.

You must buy Beconase Aq spray as directed by the doctor. The medicine is to be used only in the nose. Read all directions on the label of Beconase Aq and shake the bottle well before use. Clear your nose before administering the drug. Tilt your head forward and insert the tip of the pump into your nose. Breathe in gently while spraying the drug and breathe out from the mouth. Use the spray daily for best results.

Indications & Dosage of Beconase Aq

Beconase Aq is a steroid that prevents the release of substances that cause inflammation in the body.

The normal dosage of Beconase Aq in patients over the age of 12 years is 1-2 nasal inhalations (42-84 mcg), two times a day in each nostril. Patients must start with one inhalation two times a day in each nostril. Once the desired results are achieved, the dose can be reduced with the advice of the doctor. The maximum dosage for a day should not exceed two sprays (336 mcg). If you are not finding any tangible results in two weeks after using the medication, consult your doctor.

Close the bottle properly and replace the clip and cap once you use it. Remove the nasal applicator from the bottle and wash it with cold water occasionally. If the pump gets blocked, unscrew it and soak it in warm water for a few minutes. Rinse the pump in cold water, dry it, and place it back. Dispose the bottle after using 180 sprays.

If you forget to take a dose, skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosage schedule. Don’t take a double dose of Beconase Aq, as doing so may result in side effects like increased thirst or urination, weight gain, especially on the face, and muscle weakness. You must store Beconase Aq at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius.
