Ditropan XL is classified as an anticholinergic and antispasmodic agent. The generic name of this drug is Oxybutynin Chloride. It is a prescription drug, so you need a doctor’s prescription to buy Ditropan XL.

In addition, Ditropan XL relaxes the detrusor muscle, which is the outer layer of the urinary bladder.
The recommended starting dosage range in adults is 5-10 mg per day. If required, your doctor may increase your dose in increments of 5 mg until an optimal response is established. The maximum daily dose is 30 mg per day.
The usual starting dose in pediatric patients who are 6 years of age or more is 5 mg per day. The dosage may be increased in increments of 5 mg until an optimal response is achieved. The maximum daily dose is 20 mg per day.
