Description of Exelon Patch

The generic name for Exelon Patch is Rivastigmine Transdermal System and is meant for transdermal administration only. The Exelon patch consists of four-layers of laminate including the backing layer, the drug matrix layer, the adhesive matrix layer and finally the overlapping release liner layer at the bottom. The overlapping release liner layer is normally removed before applying the patch.
