You need to take Exjade 20 mg/kg at the same time every day. The dose can be adjusted depending on the serum ferritin and serum creatinine levels. Adjustment dose for serum ferritin should be administered after 3-6 months of initial Exjade therapy. The adjustments should be made in steps of Exjade 5 mg/kg or 10 mg/kg and the maximum dose should not be over 40 mg/kg.
