Description of Keflex
The generic name of Keflex is Cephalexin. It belongs to a family of drugs known as antibiotics. Keflex is administered orally. In children, the dose is also based on weight. The usual recommended daily dosage for children ranges from 25-50mg/kg in divided doses.
Side Effects & Interactions of Keflex
Antibiotic drugs can cause diarrhea, which may be a sign of a new infection. If you have diarrhea that is watery or has blood in it, call your doctor.
Serious side effects of Keflex may include the following:

- seizures (convulsions)
- fever, headache, sore throat, severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash
