Description of Kytril
Kytril is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused due to chemotherapy and radiation. It contains granisetron hydrochloride which is an antiemetic agent. The generic name of the drug is Granisetron.
You can buy Kytril in the form of tablets and oral solution. Take the medicine as per the prescription of the doctor. Read all the instructions on the leaflet before using the drug. Ask your doctor or the pharmacist if you have any doubt. Kytril is administered one hour before chemotherapy. Don’t crush, chew or break the tablet. Swallow it whole with a full glass of water. Use a measuring cup or spoon to measure the oral solution.
Indications & Dosage of Kytril
Kytril blocks the actions of the chemicals in the body that cause nausea and vomiting.
The recommended dosage of Kytril in adults is 2 mg once in a day or 1 mg two times a day. You must take the dose on time. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Don’t take an overdose of Kytril. One of the common symptoms of an overdose is headache. An overdose is not likely to cause any life-threatening side effects. Seek emergency medical attention in case of an overdose.
The Kytril tablets must be stored at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. The oral solution must be kept at room temperature below 25 degrees Celsius. Close the bottle tight and keep it upright. Keep the drug away from direct light, heat, and moisture. Make sure that it is kept away from the reach of children.

Warnings & Precautions of Kytril

Kytril may not affect the unborn baby if you take it during pregnancy. However, inform your doctor if you are pregnant before you buy Kytril.
