Description of Loprox Cream

Loprox Cream is used to treat yeast and fungal infections of the skin such as jock itch, ring worm and athlete’s foot. The generic name of the drug is Ciclopirox.

You may only buy Loprox Cream if you have a prescription from your doctor. Before starting treatment, read the instructions carefully. Wash your hands before administering the cream. Wash the affected area with a mild soap and pat it dry. Place a small amount of the cream in your hands and apply it on the affected area. Gently rub it in so that the cream will spread evenly. You should expect to see some results in the first week of treatment. If you don’t find any improvement after using the cream for four weeks, consult your doctor. Don’t stop the medication even if you find an improvement in symptoms. If you stop the medication, there are chances for the recurrence of fungus and fungal infection. Complete the course of treatment. If you forget to apply one dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose of Loprox Cream, skip the missed dose. Don’t apply excess of Loprox Cream to try to make up for the missed dose.

You must store Loprox Cream at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep it away from direct light, heat and moisture. Make sure that the cream is kept away from the reach of children and pets.
