Description of Norvir

Norvir is the brand name for the antiretroviral drug ritonavir, and it belongs to the drug class known as protease inhibitors. This medication is known to prevent the cells of human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV, from multiplying and spreading in the body. You can buy Norvir in the form of oral tablets. All tablets are available in the strength Norvir 100mg, along with other inactive ingredients like colloidal silicon dioxide, calcium phosphate, sodium stearyl fumarate, talc, titanium dioxide and polyethylene glycol. If you are taking the oral solution of Norvir, you must only use a special dosing cup to measure your dosage. Norvir is usually prescribed along with other HIV/AIDS medications. If you have been prescribed a combination of drugs that include Norvir, you must take all of them according to the schedule given by your doctor. Never change the dosage of Norvir or any other drug in your schedule without taking to your doctor.
