General Information on Proctofoam HC

Proctofoam HC is indicated for the treatment of rectal inflammation, itching, or irritation. The generic name of this drug is Hydrocortisone and Pramoxine Topical. This drug is available in form of a foam and is meant for anal and perianial (around the anus) administration only.

An effective anaesthetic agent, Pramoxine temporarily numbs the affected skin area. This drug is available in strength, Proctofoam HC 1% 1%. In other words, the concentration of both the active ingredients, Hydrocortisone and Pramoxine, is 1%.
