Description of Tarceva

The active ingredient in Tarceva is Erlotinib, and it belongs to the class of drugs called kinase inhibitors. You can buy Tarceva in the form of oral tablets.

Indications & Dosage of Tarceva

Tarceva is an anti-cancer medication used for treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). When prescribed along with other medicines, it can also be used for treating pancreatic cancer. Tarceva works by interfering with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body.

You can buy Tarceva in 25mg, 100mg and 150mg strengths. For the treatment of NSCLC, you will be recommended to take Tarceva 150mg per day, until unacceptable toxicity or disease progression takes place. For treating pancreatic cancer, your doctor will ask you to take Tarceva 100mg per day.

You will have to take the tablets on an empty stomach at least 2 hours after food or one hour before it.
