Description of Namenda
The generic name of the drug is Memantine Hydrochloride. It belongs to a family of medicines known as NMDA receptor antagonist. Namenda is supplied in the form of a tablet and an oral solution. Indications & Dosage of Namenda
Namenda is indicated in the treatment of moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease. It works by binding to NDMA receptors and stops excessive excitation caused by glutamate which is considered to be one of the causes of Alzheimer symptoms.

It may interact with medications such as Cimetidine, Quinidine, Nicotine, cough or cold medications containing Dextromethorphan, Ranitidine, and some diuretics, medications used to treat glaucoma or oral diabetes medications containing Metformin.
