Isoptin SR Information
Isoptin SR is an anti-hypertensive drug. It is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) and belongs to the drug-class known as phenylalkylamine. It is used primarily in the treatment of hypertension. Besides this, the drug is also used for treating cardiac arrhythmia, angina pectoris, migraine as well as cluster headache (of late). The generic drug is a vasodilator. It acts by inhibiting the influx of the calcium in the cell membranes of the vascular smooth muscles.
