Malarone Information

Malarone is an anti malarial drug that is used for treating cases of malaria. It is a combination of Atovaquone and Proguanil that is used to treat malaria caused by falciparum malaria parasites. It is used in patients who are resistant to mefloquine, chloroquine, halofantrine and amodiaquine. This drug belongs to the naphthalene class of drugs and is indicated for treating uncomplicated cases of acute malaria. It is also used in the treatment of pneumocystis pneumonia. This drug acts by interfering with the growth of parasites in the red blood cells of your body.

Malarone Side Effects and Precautions
