Description of Eucreas
The generic name of Eucreas is metformin hydrochloride or vildagliptin, and it is an anti-diabetic drug from the biguanide family. One of the primary ingredients vildagliptin is also known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. Eucreas is available in 50 mg/850 mg and 50 mg/1000 mg film-coated tablets, and you can buy Eucreas from any reliable pharmacy using a prescription.
Indications & Dosage of Eucreas
Eucreas is used for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes and helps reduce the blood sugar levels of a patient. Eucreas accomplishes this by preventing two incretin hormones from breaking down, one of which is known as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) while the other is glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide (GIP).
Eucreas is an oral drug, and the recommended dose is dependent on the current dosage of metaformin. Normally, most doctors prescribe a dose of Eucreas 50 mg/850 mg twice a day, with the first dose in the morning and the second dose in the evening. The recommended dose by doctors for adults is vildagliptin 100 mg and metformin hydrochloride 2000 mg. Doctors can increase the dosage to Eucreas 50 mg/1000 mg twice a day if the condition doesn’t improve.
