Description of Activella

The drug Activella is mostly used for the treatment of various symptoms associated with menopause. Estradiol and norethindrone are the two active ingredients present in Activella.

As a form of estrogen, Estradiol helps in the maintenance of the reproductive system in females. Norethindrone is a type of female hormone called progesterone. It regulates the functions of menstruation and ovulation. Together, they are known as Activella.

Some of the menopause symptoms that are treated with the help of Activella are spells of intense sweating, warmth in the upper regions of the body, and conditions like hypogonadism. The generic name of Activella is estradiol and norethindrone.

Indications & Dosage of Activella

Activella is indicated for treating symptoms of menopause in women. It may also be indicated for use in some cases of osteoporosis.
